The Helambu trek offers you the short and easy trek in the Helambu region to the north east of the Kathmandu Valley. The region is culturally rich and scenically beautiful. It is also less crowded and warmer in temperatures in comparison to the most popular trekking trails in Nepal. You will meet the Tamang and the Sherpa communities during the trek. This trek leads you through rice terraces, green valleys and dense oak and rhododendron forests with the backdrop of the majestic Himalayan Mountains.
The Helambu Trek begins with an hour drive to Sundarijal. After about an hour's walk, we enter the Shivapuri National Park. Continuing along the Chisopani, Kutumsang, Thadepati and Sermathang, the trek ends at the Melamchi Pul Bazar in the Helambu region.
